Bondia a tots,

si que hi ha molts de problemes per compilar el nvidia-kernel.

podem fer-ho amb el nvidia-kernel-source o el driver original nvidia, 

amb el nvidia-kernel-source:

primer hem de refer el paquet linux-kbuild-2.6.20, perque no ens deixarà 
instal.lar aquest modul, ens dirà:
FATAL: modpost: GPL-incompatible module nvidia.ko uses GPL-only symbol
‘paravirt_ops’

Seguim les instruccios de:
http://www.debianhelp.org/node/6880

hem de editar el scrpts/mod/modpost.c (el nom mod.c es erroni) i eliminar o 
comentar les linies 1197-1198:
		if (!mod->gpl_compatible)
			check_for_gpl_usage(exp->export, basename, exp->name);

mirem quines versions hi ha en Debian del driver nvidia
# apt-cache policy nvidia-kernel-source
nvidia-kernel-source:

  Version table:

Escolleixo la ultima:
# aptitude install nvidia-kernel-source -t unstable

  nvidia-glx

# cd /usr/src/

# tar xzf nvidia-kernel-source.tar.gz

# cd linux-headers-2.6.20-1-686

afegim la versio al Makefile
# vi Makefile 
EXTRAVERSION = -1-686

# make-kpkg $KPKGPARMS debian

El make-kpkg s'en descuida de posar el permis d'execucio a alguns programes:
error:
/bin/sh: scripts/genksyms/genksyms: Permission denied

li posem:
# find /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-1-686/scripts/ -type f -print0 | 
xargs --null chmod a+x

podem compilar:
# export KPKGPARMS='--added-modules nvidia-kernel --initrd '

# make-kpkg $KPKGPARMS modules_clean && make-kpkg $KPKGPARMS modules_image

instalem,
# 
dpkg -i ../nvidia-kernel-2.6.20-1-686_1.0.9755-1+2.6.20-10.00.Custom_i386.deb

tambe podriem fer-ho amb el driver original Nvidia segons les instruccions de:
http://www.debianhelp.org/node/6880
per mi es la opcio preferida perque sempre estic segur de que s'instal.la la 
ultima versio del driver:

# ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1.run -x 
# cd NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1
# ../nvidia-installer -K -a -k 2.6.20-1-686
i acabar la instalacio manualment:
# cd NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1/usr/src/nv 
# EXPORT PARAVIRT_OPS=`grep "D paravirt_ops" /boot/System.map-2.6.20-1-686 | 
colrm 9`
# ld -m elf_i386 —defsym paravirt_ops=0x$PARAVIRT_OPS -r -o nvidia.ko
nvidia.o nvidia.mod.o
Instal.lar nvidia.ko (by copying the module over into
/lib/modules/2.6.20-1-/kernel/dricers/video)
# cp nvidia.ko /lib/modules/2.6.20-1-686/kernel/drivers/video
# depmod -a -b /lib/modules/2.6.20-1-686
